Tortilla Jo’s has a brand new brunch menu that includes so many yummy choices that it becomes too difficult to pick just one.
The greatest news is that I did not have to when I (along with my plus one) went for a taste testing of the amazing selections.
As we kick off our Tortilla Jo’s fiesta with Chips and Salsa (delicious), I admire the beauty and spaciousness of the restaurant. I truly had no idea that it was so big inside with two floors, a lovely patio and a balcony.
Our brunch kicks off with bottomless Mimosa’s and a beautiful fresh fruit platter. The papaya reminds me of my honeymoon in Puerto Vallarta. It is so sweet and delicious.
Our palates were next treated to a delicious Apple Spring Salad. I did not want to eat it all because I knew we had so many great options to come. The combination of julienned Gala apples, jicama, mango, watermelon radish, watercress, toasted Marcona almonds, oatmeal, dried blueberries, and vanilla yogurt dressing made it hard to resist.
Cinnamon French Toast prepared with brioche, cinnamon, candied walnuts, cajeta syrup, and horchata whipped cream was another huge hit. The French toast was so beautifully crispy on the outside and soft on the inside without being too soft. I highly recommend this taste sensation.
From the sweet we turned to the savory.
Happily, all entrees are served with fresh fruit and dessert including mini apple chimichangas and churros.
And because I know you want to know… weekend brunch entrees are $14 at the time of this posting. One hour bottomless mimosa service is an additional $10. Tortilla Jo’s restaurant also excels in Margarita’s. Pictured are the original, peach and mango. Mango was my favorite.
